Yeah, but I suppose he can use any ttf font you supply him with and any color as long as you give him RGB code of it (or whatever representation he uses). I am only saying this because the background is quite bright, saturated and noisy, so it would need a specific font and color to be clearly visible and also look good with the pad design.

We can. I will start one later today when I get to writing a few example messages. Or go ahead an make one if you have some proposals;)

The mineral conversion (aka atomic modifier) will mostly be like a lottery: a big gamble. Only about 10% of minerals would change into something valuable. Ill play around with it to arive at a good solution.

A skilled pilot would know that any unacounted for obsticle can only appear deeper than 9000ft, he would slow down before that. But i agree, it would be nice to watch novices crash and burn (and then cry)... mwahahahaha

Yo! All the promoted ideas are great to excellent. But I too have big suggestions... blah.
1.You know magma? How about we have it so minerals that form in the midst of volcanoes can form in the underground magma, be completely invisible, and be collected when the miner falls in?

2.I love the meteor slammer idea. How about this extremely long and detailed idea; The fan is replaced by a huge rocket engine when the slammer is activated.It shows it half-hanging out of the top.There is one huge nozzle at the top,surrounded by twenty smaller nozzles, for stability and very weak left-right navigation. When it starts up,a small vulgar flame comes out of the top, with the guidance thrusters only smoldering and smoking. The main flame looks like the domes on the top of the Taj Mahal.In a couple of seconds the flame grows taller.In the end it's just a flaming tower of thrust.Until it reaches full thrust as described,it will fall normally. When at full thrust, [within 10 seconds of activation]it will fall at 5 to 20x the rate.After falling 2,000 ft, the view will start to swing and vibrate, like when the documentary 'Hyperspace' showed a star collapse.The craft will have generated a fireball around itself.Eventually [after 15,000~ft of descent] the screen will be shaking so much you can't see the pod anymore, except for a huge white/blue/purple swinging streak flickering across the screen. May be annoying, but it's just like how a meteor/meteorite/comet/bolide falls.

3. The impact of the meteor device-induced craft will have an explosion ranging in size depending on how close to 'exaggerated terminal velocity' the craft was. If it only fell 200/800 feet, it will only have a Dynamite/TNT sized rough circle-shaped explosion. If it fell at 'exaggerated terminal velocity'[falling over 20,000 ft] the explosion will wipe out the entire width of the game [480 ft, 48 blocks] , blast up 800 ft,and down 600~.This will deal about 980 damage.Then, it will rebound back to the craft after an extremely tempoary continuous explosion,[lasting about 5 seconds].The rebounding implosion would deal 300~ damage,and would then trigger an earthquake. Anywhere between the two ends of the scale could be anything.

4. There would be a 15% chance of creating a black hole around the craft upon an exaggerated terminal velocity impact. This would lead to the cargo bay, and suck absolutely everything within a 5x5 square zone around the craft, lasting 6 hours of drilling. Good news about the implosion, you could just swallow the rebounding soil & minerals,and destroy the unstorable granite,marble, lava and magma.

5. Sulfuric Acid bomb. Ridiculous. Costs 1,500,000 bucks.  Blast 2 blocks high, 8 blocks wide.Dissolves minerals, granite, soil and marble. Dissolves up to 1000 dl/block,and can dissolve 10,000 ft of soil below explosion. Deals 100 damage to user.If it hits magma [WHICH IT WILL] it will blow up/evaporate the magma and generate new,valuable and exciting minerals! What a stupid brain-wave.

Nuclear Reactor Lv1 to 10
its an reactor that converts just the radiation of the mineral in energy (you have to keep it on your inventory) and you activate it with an key like 0 or any other and costs about 50% of you engine to work so that means u cant go digging and using it =) [to be more balanced]  at the level 1 it should make maximum of 10 battery per second using 0.1% of Rx of an material (minimum needed is an radioactive material or some that at total is of 1000Rx then u activate it and every second 10 battery per second will be added
every level up increase the percent of radiation mineral used (Lv 1 -0.1% Lv-10 1% [every level ups 0.1%]) at level 10 you should convert at max 100 battery per second but to do it you need just one dark matter on your inventory [who will keep it for much time?] its an valuable mineral =)  [the price should be like 10million at level 1 and about 100 at level 10 (to be more balanced)   and you should maintain the instant convert mineral (radioactives ones) to who dont have money or need energy fast)

New Mineral:Indestructium
Its not much valuable but you need 10 of them to make the Indestructium hull that has about 100000Hits (on game there should be at least 15) besides you can make it an rock that you maybe hate or like =) you can destroy it with an atomic bomb but your temp,engine,hull,radiation will increase to 99%
and fuel will down to 10% so be careful!

Ps the radiation and engine will start decreasing after some time

one problem in motherload (that i find, anyway) is that once you get very deep - 20000ft and beyond, it becomes very boring while waiting to fall down. i have three suggestions :

1.teleporter 3 - cost $500000 - when used, a temporary two-way wormhole is opened, taking you from any depth to the surface. it stays open so that you can go back through it(only once, though) to the place that you used it

2.add a weight factor to the hulls. the stronger the hull the hevier it is so the faster you fall. the damege taken when landing after a long fall will be the same no matter the speed.

3.how about buyable spare fuel tanks so that you dont need to return to base as often

these are my suggestions. feel free to comment and add your own ideas and views

How about a supervolcano right before the end of 50,000 ft in MLU2? It would be 3000 feet wide, coming from the bottom stopping at round about 200 ft from surface. It would be touch sensitive. When you drilled too close to it,it would push rock back, beginning to fill the tunnel with hot rock and putting you in danger of being crushed. Soon after, pressure would be much less, gas bubbles form, they leak to surface, the supervolcano explodes.
This is what it would look like.

The columns of hot volcanic ash cause 15 to 25 damage per second.
After eruption has finished [it will finish when it's out of player's sight] it will be like the mountain except it's mostly composed of magma, and is therefore impenetrable. That way the player is trapped on whichever side they came out of.

very cool idea but if it is at the end of mlu2 then it wont be such a big gameplay feature. how about putting it near the middle?

So the ash will be rising in columns causing damage after the thing bust?
